Wireless speakers will come with a transmitter that will affix to the receiver, this transmits a stereo signal up to 150 feet through walls and floors. Wired speakers are more standard (with cables necessary to carry the signals) and generally have higher sound quality than wireless models.
Most small speakers are 2-ways, or coaxials with a single tweeter mounted above the cone of the woofers. 3-Way and 4-Way speakers offer greater sound depth and quality, as they are usually able to transmit more frequencies.
Magnetic shielding is important for home theater speakers and can be found in most (if not all) multi-media speakers. (If an unshielded speaker is placed too close to near a TV or Monitor, the magnetic energy can cause picture distortion or permanently damage it. The energy can also have distorting effects on other appliances.)

Bi-amping is when instead of driving a speaker full-range with a single channel of amplification with a single set of speaker cables, you connect two sets of cables, with each set carrying the signal from a separate amplifier channel.

Components
Design
Most speakers are made for indoor use, although there are some speakers specially designed to be used outdoors.
Terminals are the connectors on the back of the speakers that connect with the speaker cables. There are two basic types: spring clips and binding posts. Spring Clip terminals are usually found on cheaper speakers and receivers. They work best with cable with bare wire connections. Binding Post terminals are a lot more sturdier, and are often found on higher-quality speakers and receivers. They have a threaded bolt or screw that tightens down against the wire or connector for an extra-secure connection.
This is the actual color you will see on the outside of your speakers.

| Pros |
Above average sound output for this class of speaker, proven technology, stronger resale value. |
| Cons |
Maybe lacking some base, but it's what I expected from a 6.5" woofer. |
| Bottom Line |
Quality sounding, virtually distortion free, $200, what's not to like, or what more could you expect to get out of only a 6.5" woofer? |
