Key Features
Connectivity\r\nWireless and cordless headsets operate without a cord. Wireless sets will have a transmitter (base) which sends a signal to the headset which in turn will have a built-in receiver and amplifier. "Wireless" sometimes refers to infrared-based systems and "cordless" to radio frequency (RF) transmission systems. Infrared systems have a relatively short range of 10M or so from the base unit and must be in "line of sight" of the base for clear reception. RF (Radio Frequency) systems can transmit up 100M from the base unit - even through walls.
Consumer translates to a headset that is geared towards home or personal use, where as a Professional headset would be more for an office environment.
Select a compatibility option based on what you intend to use the headset for.
Earbuds are worn in the opening of the ear, while over the head have a headband seen in most standard headphones . Over the ear are worn around the ear lobe and sit lightly on or over the ear. Behind the head fit around the back of the head or neck. Versatile headphones are usually made to have only one ear that hears the headphone's sound, leaving the other ear free to hear freely.

Cheap. Works. |
| Cons |
Inconsistent performance, occasional interference, no volume control; non-standard batteries. Cheap ear loop. |
| Bottom Line |
Buy this if you need a really cheap replacement, or will use in a quiet place & don't like chargers. |

| Pros |
Affordable price, no charger required. |
| Cons |
Ill-fitting earpiece and flimsy earhook. Constant hum when idle. Unexplained beeping and many disconnects. |
| Bottom Line |
It is cheaply made and extremely uncomfortable. Frequent disconnects, idle humming noise and unexplained beeping are very annoying. Not truly hands free if you have to hold it in place! |

| Pros |
Above average sound quality, AAAA batteries last long, you forget that you are wearing it. |
| Cons |
AAAA batteries can sometimes be hard to find because all stores do not carry them. |
| Bottom Line |
I recommend this set because it is a great value for the price, and the fact that it uses AAAA batteries is a plus. |
