Logitech Logitech Harmony 550 Advanced Universal Remote - universal remote
Product MPN
Key Features
Basic remotes are used for a single specific device. Universal/learning remotes can be programmed to control many devices, but typically only successfully control the most basic functions of electronic components made by major manufacturers. Multibrand remotes are pre-programmed with infrared codes for many of many different popular brands.
These are the different types of devices the remote will be able to control.
Applicable Devices
TV, DVD Player, Receiver
I/R (infrared) remotes need line of site to the device in order for the signal to be received. R/F (radio frequency) remotes send a wider angled signal, so the remote does not need to be pointed straight at the device for the signal to be received.
