Large-Barrel 2" Eyepieces will permit you wide fields of view impossible to achieve with eyepieces of 1.25" or smaller barrel diameter. The focusers of all Meade DS-Series telescopes, with the exception of the DS-60 models, include 2" eyepiece-holders to accept the oversize Meade #937 2" Diagonal Mirror along with adapters for 1.25" and .965" eyepieces 07221, which in turn accepts eyepieces of 2" barrel diameter. An adapter is included to allow for using standard 1.25" barrel eyepieces in the 2" Meade Diagonal Mirror as well. (The Meade #937 Diagonal Mirror 07221 is required only on DS refracting telescopes (DS-70EC, etc.); However DS reflecting telescopes (DS-114 EC) do not require a Diagonal Mirror for the use of 2" eyepieces.) less
