A tweeter is a small driver dedicated to high-frequency reproduction. There are several types all with their own attributes. Generally the technology involved will have a significant bearing on the overall price of the tweeter. Cone Cone tweeters are the most common and economical. The type of material your woofer is made out of depends on the sound quality you are looking for and how much money you are willing to spend. These materials are non-resonant, stiff and strong. They all create uncolored sound with excellent dispersion. Metal Cast metals have greater resistance to resonance than stamped metals. Cast aluminum is not only lightweight but also very strong.
