Pros Prominent jazz on just over half the tracks; refreshing thoughtful lyric style of Q-Tip.
Cons Gets lethargic in some spots; a couple of filler tracks.
Bottom Line Undeniably one of the most creative efforts from any hip-hop era, and considered essential by many rap fans.

Pros Nice tracks, interesting horn stabs, great bass and some lyrics were not bad as well
Cons Songs about tennis shoes and Aresnio sound dated, let's face it, I'm a West Coaster.
Bottom Line The Abstract said much, and Carter's upright bass sound is inimitable. But the rap is only half good, for every deep idea there was a line about nikes or boning.

Pros Beats, lyrics, Flo.
Cons That some people grew up thinking P. Diddy is hip hop.
Bottom Line Maybe the best hip hop album of all time. Not that I'd know.

Pros Unique and creative production AND lyricism, good guest appearances, stands the test of time.
Cons I cannot think of one
Bottom Line Along with Midnight Marauders this is and undeniable 'Must Have'.

Pros Production, Lyrics, and Concepts that would influence a generation...
Cons A bit lengthy and a couple of misteps here and there
Bottom Line Great Album through and through - worth every penny.
