| Pros |
Prominent jazz on just over half the tracks; refreshing thoughtful lyric style of Q-Tip. |
| Cons |
Gets lethargic in some spots; a couple of filler tracks. |
| Bottom Line |
Undeniably one of the most creative efforts from any hip-hop era, and considered essential by many rap fans. |

| Pros |
Nice tracks, interesting horn stabs, great bass and some lyrics were not bad as well |
| Cons |
Songs about tennis shoes and Aresnio sound dated, let's face it, I'm a West Coaster. |
| Bottom Line |
The Abstract said much, and Carter's upright bass sound is inimitable. But the rap is only half good, for every deep idea there was a line about nikes or boning. |

| Pros |
Beats, lyrics, Flo. |
| Cons |
That some people grew up thinking P. Diddy is hip hop. |
| Bottom Line |
Maybe the best hip hop album of all time. Not that I'd know. |

I cannot think of one |

Along with Midnight Marauders this is and undeniable 'Must Have'. |
