Pros Nicholson, Kubrick's direction, script, everything
Cons None
Bottom Line Not to be snobby, but it's crazy finding people who still haven't seen this. With the special edition released last year, this is the perfect time.

Pros Jack Nicholson's performance, well-shot
Cons Not creepy at all, Shelley Duvall, overlong and plodding
Bottom Line In the end, "The Shining" is a well-crafted film, but as a horror film, it takes way too long to develop. Worth seeing for Nicholson's performance, though.

Pros Duvall
Cons the talking finger & cast speech patterns
Bottom Line "Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!" ~Pink Floyd
