| Pros | Day-Lewis' deranged performance saves (and then some) what could have been an epic disaster. |
| Cons | Quite long. Dark, violent, even upsetting in places. Unclear in purpose. |
| Bottom Line | It's not a perfect film. It's not even a pleasant one. There Will Be Blood is, however, a film with brains, and that's a welcome relief these days. |
