Pros A terrific farce.
Cons Mel Brooks himself is underused
Bottom Line This is what comedy buffs are talking about when they use the expression "high camp."

Pros Some scenes; acting
Cons Some scenes; one important plot point near the end
Bottom Line The funny didn't outweigh the non-funny for me.

Pros Very funny and spoofs the old horror movies wonderfully...
Cons ... some might find there to be too much innuendo in this movie
Bottom Line Young Frankenstein is a firm favourite among Mel Brooks fans.

Pros A top-notch cast. A brilliant script. Funny and well-done.
Cons None
Bottom Line Though some of his later movies are still watchable, Young Frankenstein is one of Mel Brook's two best comedies ever.
